PS² invited 5 jury members to review the applications and make a selection.
They have chosen Ursula Burke as the new curator in residence.

About 'curator in residence'

The' curator in residence' programme began in 2011 as a three week long research project with 9 artists/curators. Individually or as a team, they each developed two proposals, one for PS² the other for an outside/offsite location.
The residency included formal and informal talks with artists, curators and passers-by. Two project proposals were finally selected and realized by the curators: 'THE NEW ADVENTURES OF WONDER WOMAN', curated by Ben Crothers (1) and 'Mapping 'Performance Art in Context', curated by Sinead O'Donnell (2).
The first longer term residency started with PRIME collective (Alissa Kleist, Tonya McMullan and Charlotte Bosanquet), who archived the former store room of PS², converted it into a small office- and worked in and from this newly retrieved ‘curatorial research space’. They invited artists and curators, held peer reviews, developed their own projects and programms for other spaces; cooked, realized a full blown project in PS², stored their bikes and stirred up the place.
The new curator/s in residence may follow this path or come up with very different strategies and ideas. It is up to the new resident/s, how much he/ she /they will use the space, from every day to periodically, but we wish for an engaged and open commitment.
