Open Project

A week long residency at PS² will see three artists exploring different media and processes in the environment of the open project space, allowing references, dialogues and conversations to develop between site specific works made during this period. The project will investigate how different practices can develop individually and together over the duration of the project, exploring the possibilities of artmaking in a specific space, inviting visitors to observe and engage with the artmaking process. Existing outside the conventional gallery space, Open Project will facilitate playfulness, collaboration and risk taking. The project will draw together concerns about the importance of environments, methods of construction and deconstruction and personal perceptions.
