Opening May 2025...
Seeking proposals for PS³!
We're expanding 😎
What's this now?
As PS² (Paragon Studios + Project Space) we offer artists’ workspace, exhibitions and events, and offsite community projects.
Our new venture, PS³ (Public Shopfront), is a street-level space in which we hope to do some more of the same, in addition to hosting screenings and workshops, share resources and research, and more that is yet to be determined and fundraised for…
The opportunity came up to lease the space, which we seized with both hands. But we haven’t yet been able to secure the resources (financial and human) that are required to expand our operations over two spaces. That fundraising has now started in earnest.
How can I get involved?
Well that’s also where you come in! We are seeking proposals for things that you would like to try out in our new space from July 2025 onwards:
- Do you have a workshop you’d like to run?
- A moving image work that could be screened in our ground-floor windows?
- Would you like to try something out that you just haven’t had the space for?
We have set up a short Google Form that you can use to tell us about what you’d like to do. There is no deadline; we will keep this opportunity rolling until we are either all booked up or have any money to offer artists!
Please note: at this stage, the selected proposals have no financial remuneration. As soon as that changes, we will let you know.
Can I chat to you about an idea I have?
Of course! Just email davy@pssquared.org or jane@pssquared.org
Is PS-to-the-power-of-4 next? Where does it end?
Infinity isn't a number, it's a concept, yeah?
Additional info
Dimensions of main space: 4m x 5m
Dimensions of office space: 2.3m x 2m
Ceiling height: to follow...
We will be removing the frosted vinyl from the lower portion of the front window (pic below) and replacing it with perspex-mounted rear-projection film. We'll hook up our new projector (thank you so much Arts Council of Northern Ireland!) for street-level screening possibilities.
The following image is representative of what a workshop or meeting set-up might look like, but we'll take more once we have finessed the walls.
